A funny comment N made the other day was about puppies and babies. N was asking me if E knew her name yet. I told him I didn't think so. He concluded that puppies must be smarter than babies then because when we got our puppy Abby she knew her name by now. I pointed out that Abby could walk earlier as well. Maybe if E knew how to crawl she would come when we called her. I think she is funner than our puppy. Her latest trick is to smile, and it rocks!

Miss Dolittle
Well E is now over 6 weeks old and we can still officially say that she does not require the care that most infants do. She cries maybe 2 mintues a day. Sleeps endlessly still and for the past week or more has consistantly slept 7-8 hours at night. I can't imagine why we got so lucky here. I am sure God knew just what I needed with a 5th baby and no extended family around to help me. She is truely amazingly good! And we are not just saying that to brag either. We have nick-named her Miss Dolittle since she really doesn't do much. But the name is a misnomer because she does bring an awful lot of love into our home, and that isn't a little thing!!

Baby Girl is pretty!
Baby Girl is born
Well, we are proud to announce that our newest daughter is born! She came in the early morning hours of December 31st 2006. Making her a New Years Eve baby and a nice tax break baby as well. We were so grateful when Dr F (a neighbor, friend from church, and one of the OBGYN docs at the hospital here) called us on the morning of the 30th asking how things were going. I had been having false labor and some decreased fetal movement as well. He asked me to come in for a look since he was at the hospital for a scheduled C-section that morning. Things indeed looked favorable, so I was admitted for an induction, and I was so happy! Some 15 hours later (after another emergency C-section case came in delaying things for me a bit) she was born. T was able to deliver this baby and that was a thrill for him. He was so distracted/excited by catching her that I had to ask what the sex of the baby was. We are so grateful to have another girl for A to play with. Our family really feels complete! Her full initials are E B T and she was 8 pounds and 21.7inches long. She is a very calm wonderful baby so far who looks just exactly like Middle Boy did. Right down to the birth weight and the crinkled ears. We love her a ton!

See the pregant belly?
The final countdown
Kelly here,
I am getting so pregnant and uncomfortable that I just have to complain and remind myself not to do this again. I am now 35 weeks and every move is a chore. To sleep is a pain, to eat is a pain (heartburn to follow), bending over, climbing stairs, wearing socks around swollen ankles, lifting 3 year olds-it's all a pain! A couple of my close friends here are newly pregnant and I say to them "that's such great news! Congratulations!" But what I am thinking is "run away!"
On the positive side I only have a month or so before I will get to meet that new spirit waiting to come down and be a part of our crazy family. There is a lot of talk and excitment surrounding the subject at this point, and I can't help but remember the overwhelming experience it has been for me in the past to bring a newborn home. They don't do much, but bring such a great peace and happiness with them that is felt by all. I know this child was meant to be in our family! T is certain it's a boy. He thought that with A too. Some of our names are Camille or Camilla, Eliza or Olivia. Boy's names are Maxwell, Sean, Seth, or Elijah. We shall see! I will look for a decent pregnant picture of me to post. I am really sticking out there!
That's all...
