Baby Girl's first Christmas

Well we got our Christmas tree up and spent the better part of Saturday decorating the house. It's a lot of work for mom! Eliza had some fun with our beads. I decided this year to leave them off the tree- they are a little too plastic and too much of a hassle to untangle, so I let her have her fun. We are wondering how to keep her away from the tree and ornaments- let alone the presents this year. She is so close to walking now and has taken her first few steps. Adorable!

What a big girl!! Eliza has changed a lot since Korea. I have been debating about doing a tree this year. I'm not sure it's going to be worth it if I have to spend every waking moment keeping Lucy from pulling everything off it. I probably wont. Bah-humbug.

I have little ones as well (2 and
7 months). I decided to put my tree up on a table. It has worked out great. The only problem I could see you running into is, if you don't have vaulted ceilings. I do and so it makes it nice when Christmas comes around. :) Good Luck!
Oh yeah, did I tell you, you have the cutiest family ever!

Eliza is adorable! I love her little round face. I remember the days of "top heavy" trees all too well. I use to joke that it was growth chart for the kids....I could always tell how tall they were by how far up the tree the ornaments began :0

Wow Kelly,
Your writing is so fun to read. You could be a columnist in a heartbeat. Maybe when the kids are all in school! After reading several of your blogs I'm just sad I am not next door. We'd be such good neighbors. I could bring you cookies and treats and you could just talk. It puts a smile on my face everytime!
